Kwadro Pintura is a group of talented and promising Filipino visual artists based in Paris. The team consists of Dhon Dela Paz, Marie Expert and Cris Adajar. Kuwadro Pintura was formed in 2018 which was motivated by the artists' mutual passion for visual arts.

Kwadro Pintura is inspired by The Illustrados (The enlightened ones). They were Filipino liberals from the educated and middle class that includes Jose Rizal, Marcelo Del Pilar, Juan and Antonio Luna, Graciano Lopez Jaena and a few others. During the Spanish occupation of the Philippines in the late 19th Century, the Illustrados went to Europe to study and to campaign for information. Their main objective was to seek for equality and present political, religious and economic reforms for their beloved country, the Philippines. Their literary and visual arts excellence inspired the awakening of Filipinos’ innate patriotism which ultimately led to the country’s independence.

Similar to the Illustrados’ aspiration, through art, Kwadro Pintura aims to unite and rekindle fellow Filipino’s creative and nationalistic spirit. To exhibit that art is not just a hobby but also a refuge and a way to channel the Filipino re through their art pieces. Kwadro Pintura’s art is dedicated to all art enthusiasts most specially to fellow Overseas Filipino Workers. The OFWs more commonly known as the “modern day heroes”. They were called as such because they toil far away from home to provide for loved ones, furthermore, their commendable hard work and sacri ce signi cantly contributes to the growth of Philippines’ economy.

The group’s subject matter ranges from classical, imaginative realism, contemporary to wood sculptures.
